Affiliate Membership:
If you are a current member of MPI and are looking for an opportunity to engage with over 450 members of the South Florida Chapter, the most effective and least expensive way is thru our Affiliate Membership. Once we receive your completed form a Chapter representative will be in contact with you. We look forward to welcoming you to the MPI South Florida Chapter. MPI Foundation:
For 25 years, the MPI Foundation (www.mpiweb.org.foundation) has been investing in the people and programs that shape meetings and business events into a $100 billion industry.  It is a philosophy of investment, founded on the belief that meetings are critical to the success of business, that guides the MPI Foundation’s efforts in strengthening and preserving our industry for years to come. 

MPI Leadership and Governance:
The governing body of MPI is the Board of Directors.  The Board is responsible for reviewing and approving the organization's strategic plans.  It oversees financial integrity and monitors performance against achievement of strategy and long-term vision.  Members of the Board include the chairman/chairwoman of the board, chairman/chairwoman-elect, three (3) vice chairmen/chairwomen, immediate past chairman/chairwoman and twelve (12) directors.  The current MPI Board of Directors will remain in office until June 30, 2011.

Each year, MPI members in good standing are eligible to submit an application to serve on the MPI Board of Directors.  The call for applications opens in December and closes on January 15.  By March 1 of each year, the Governance and Nominating Committee shall submit a slate of one (1) candidate for each vacancy on the MPI Board of Directors and each office of MPI.  In selecting nominees, the Governance and Nominating Committee shall evaluate candidates to assure a balance of skills and experiences on the MPI Board of Directors.
